Which route you need

Three routes. Which one depends on the status you already hold.

There is no list price here, and there is a reason for it: the route that suits you turns on facts we do not know yet — the status you hold, whether you are in the country, how long you intend to stay, what you invoice for. We establish those in a consultation and put the figure in writing afterwards. Instalments are available through Tabby & Tamara.

Permit only

For anyone who already holds UAE residency — as a dependant, a Golden Visa holder or a GCC national. You have the status; what is missing is the permit that lets you trade. No visa application arises at all.

No residence visa included

  • Freelance permit application
  • Activity list built from your invoices
  • Trade name reservation
  • Registered address & P.O. Box
  • Structure and shareholding guidance
  • Bank introduction and document preparation

Most engagements

Freelance Permit & Residency

What most people mean by a freelance visa: the permit and a self-sponsored residence visa, filed as one engagement. You finish with the right to trade and the right to stay.

  • Freelance permit application
  • Self-sponsored residence visa application
  • Entry permit, or status change without leaving
  • Medical & Emirates ID coordination
  • Activity list built from your invoices
  • Family sponsorship guidance

Two-year visa

A two-year residence visa rather than a one-year one, for people who intend to stay and would rather not repeat this annually. Renewal comes round half as often.

One-year option also available

  • Two-year residence visa application
  • Entry permit, or status change without leaving
  • Medical & Emirates ID coordination
  • Family sponsorship guidance
  • Renewal timing and absence rules explained
  • Bank introduction and document preparation

Freelance DXB is a trading name of Trivup Documents Clearing Services, a private company holding a Dubai documents-clearing licence. That licence is what permits a private firm to lodge paperwork with government departments for a client. It is not a government appointment, and we are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by any UAE authority.

Every licence, permit and residency visa is granted by the authority that issues it, on its own assessment of the file. Our work is preparation and lodgement. No consultant, here or anywhere, can promise you an approval, and you should treat anyone who does as telling you something they cannot know.

Nothing here is a service you cannot obtain yourself. You are entitled to deal with the authorities directly, at the official fees, and those fees are set by them and paid to them — separate from ours, which is quoted in writing before any work starts. What you are buying is the preparation and the queueing, not access.

The questions that come before a quote.

The full breakdown is in our guide to the order a relocation actually happens in, and the rest are answered under all frequently asked questions.

The deciding question

One fact narrows it to one route.

Do you already hold UAE residency? If you do — as a dependant, a Golden Visa holder or a GCC national — you need the permit alone, and nothing else on this page applies to you. If you do not, licence and residency are filed together as one application. If you need residency without a licence to trade under, that is the third route.
